Outlook's two trim levels are the base XE and premium XR. Both models get the exact same engine and transmission setup, but XR gets a premium dual exhaust with trapezoidal tailpipes that reduce backflow and add another 5 or so horsepower. As I learned on a recent Mazda CX-9 ride-and-drive, trapezoids are premium shapes. Who knew?
