Buick’s lineup is rather thin these days – there’s the Lacrosse, the Lucerne and the Enclave. And that’s about it. So, the Enclave, Buick’s sole crossover vehicle, represents one-third of the Buick lineup.
Enclave
Enclave was introduced as a 2008 model late in 2007. Sharing a platform and mechanical underpinnings with the Saturn Outlook, GMC Acadia and Chevrolet Traverse, Enclave is a seven-passenger crossover with an incredibly flexible interior. Prices start at $35,845. There’s just one engine available, a 3.6 liter V6 that produces 288 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive systems are available. The EPA estimates fuel economy at 16 mpg city/22 mpg highway for the AWD version, 17 mpg city/24 mpg highway for the front-wheel drive.
