Most of the time, the new SUVs and crossovers that we review have evolved from previous generations. The new CR-V, the new Escape, the new 4Runner -- they all have been developed with some continuity and some history. Every once in a while, something new springs up from a manufacturer, and that's when I pounce. Unfortunately, I was too busy to pounce when Subaru came out with their new crossover, and so Aaron Gold reviewed it for us in this 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek Test Drive.
I couldn't leave well enough alone, however. I was so intrigued by the new Subaru that I had to get my hands on one right away, and luckily, Subaru was very accommodating.
