My first car was a 1972 Subaru GL. It had no real style, no real flash or panache. I swore that my next car would be cooler, and when I had saved some money, I bought a 1972 Chevy Camaro. Now that was a cool car. The big, round front fenders flanking a bulging hood, balanced by a short, rounded rear overhang. Not only did the second-generation Camaro look great, it drove like stink (that means "really fast").
I suspect that the designers at Infiniti spent some time studying cool-looking cars. I like to think that they got a gander at my '72 Camaro, and that they liked its muscular good looks. Certainly, if you look at the 2013 Infiniti JX35 Photo Gallery that Aaron Gold, About.com's Guide to Cars, put together for us, you'd have to come to that conclusion.
Too bad the new JX doesn't go like stink.
