Case in point, take a look at this 2009 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S Photo Gallery. A quick glance at the SUV reveals an elegant, muscular, aerodynamic shape - no big surprise there, coming from a company that has built its reputation on building some of the best sports cars on the planet. But looking closer, I discovered an abundance of high end materials -- carbon fiber, brushed aluminum, leather and wood -- in places where other companies might have used plastic and vinyl. A carbon fiber engine cover? Carbon fiber door trim? Brushed aluminum door pulls? Leather dash covers? Cayenne has all of these, and more. And they're assembled to tight tolerances, with excellent fit and finish.

I guess that's what gives Porsche the guts to price the Cayenne Turbo S at $124,000. Wow.
