It's been a while since I've driven an Xterra. I last reviewed the Xterra in 2006, and I kind of liked it back then. I just drove the latest edition of Xterra, and you know what? I liked it even more than I remembered.

Sure, it's a bit of a throwback. It's not all that fuel-efficient. It's not all that technologically-advanced. But it straddles the off-road/daily-driver chasm about as well as any SUV on the market right now.
