Worst SUV sales ever?
Monday November 3, 2008
According to Nick Bunkley's article in the New York Times, "Vehicle sales in the United States tumbled to a multi-decade lows in October." Bunkley quoted Mark LaNeve, GM's VP for North American Sales as saying that "If you adjust for population growth, this is probably the worst industry sales month in the post-World War II era."This year has been the perfect storm for SUV sales. Combine a general downturn in the car industry with ridiculously high gas prices, and SUV sales have taken a cliff-dive of enormous proportion.
Will tomorrow's election have any effect on this trend?
Why not vote and find out?
