Is HUMMER for sale?

Times really are tough in the auto industry right now, especially for the big SUV. General Motors announced on their website today that they are "undertaking a strategic review of the HUMMER brand to determine its fit within the GM portfolio. At this point, the company is considering all options, from a complete revamp of the product lineup to a partial or complete sale of the brand." Read: HUMMER is for sale.In addition, according to the website, "GM will react to the shift in the U.S. market by increasing production of small and midsize cars and reducing production of pickups and truck-based SUVs." Read: fewer Yukons, Escalades, Suburbans and Tahoes will wind up gathering dust on your local dealer's lot.
This could be good news for those of you considering selling your big SUV -- with a smaller supply of brand new full-size SUVs, your well-maintained used vehicle may be worth a little bit more.

You said that with GM selling less new suv’s & trucks a well maintained used one may be worth a little more. However, the problem with that is that no matter how much it may or may not increase in value, it won’t do you any good if the buyers all want smaller vehicles.
