2008 Toyota Land Cruiser Test Drive and Review

Thursday January 3, 2008
I really wanted to go to the launch of the 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser in Big Sky, Montana, but I was tied up with other SUV business at the time. Aaron Gold, About.com's Guide to Cars, was kind enough to take the trip in my place, and has returned with this 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser Test Drive and Review.

I have a real love affair with Land Cruiser, dating back to the days of the FJ40. For me, Land Cruiser has always represented adventure, real Safari kind of adventure with wild animals and danger and excitement.

Today's Land Cruiser has lost some of that allure -- it now represents shopping and luxury and jewelry and status. Not that Land Cruiser couldn't still conquer the wilds -- it's just that it now does it in high style.

Does Land Cruiser still carry the allure of adventure? Read Aaron's 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser Test Drive and Review, then click on "comments" below and share your thoughts.

Just saw one of these at the dealer while returning my wife’s leased 4Runner.

Though the matte wood interior trim is nice, this beast is bafflingly expensive. $70k? Ouch.
