I was surprised -- the Highlander Hybrid is more than just an engine stuffed into a regular Highlander, it's a vehicle with its own character and distinct driving dynamics. If you're looking for a hybrid to save money, look elsewhere -- you may save money on gas, but by the time you buy the Highlander Hybrid Limited, you'll be sinking over $40,000 into your SUV. If, on the other hand, you want SUV looks with car performance and handling, the Highlander Hybrid should be on your list to consider.
