2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser Photos from SEMA

The star of the SEMA show, or at least the SUV star of the show, was the 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser.

There were custom FJ Cruisers all over the place. Some mildly customized, with a few accessories and some custom paint; others customized to within an inch of their lives and identities. It's amazing how well the FJ Cruiser takes to such treatment. With just a few tweaks, the hardy off-roader can be transformed into an elegant urban cruiser. Load up the brush guards and lift kits, and FJ Cruiser competes with the Jeep Wrangler for rugged, go-anywhere looks.

Of course, it's not the mild customs that get the attention at a big auto show -- it's the outrageous why-did-they-do-that creations that get the eyeballs to your booth. FJ Cruiser seemed to be a pretty good canvas for that palette as well.
