2006 Toyota Highlander Limited 4x4 V6 Photo Gallery

If you read this blog very often, you know that my daily driver is Moose, a 1994 Toyota 4Runner. And you know that I love Moose. There's something about his rugged styling that I find timeless and iconic -- what I think of as "pure SUV."

When I look at the 2006 Toyota Highlander Limited 4x4 V6 Photo Gallery that I just posted, I see a lot of what the designers call Moose's "Design DNA" in the Highlander. There are a lot of strong angles, a lack of fuss and frills, and a confidence that I really appreciate. Of course, I could just be responding to familiarity, but I don't think so -- I think that rear windows are getting way too small with the style of rising beltlines, and form is ceasing to follow function. As cool as some of the new crossover vehicles look -- and they do look cool -- it's tough to beat the visibility out of the Highlander.
