Why am I so attracted to the impractical?

I just can't get the 2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited out of my head. Every time I see a Jeep on the road, I find my head turning with the vehicle, following its every move.

I know that the Wrangler wouldn't fit my lifestyle. I know that it doesn't get great gas mileage and it isn't much fun to drive on city streets. I know that the cumbersome soft top would drive me insane.

And yet I yearn for a Wrangler. I've started haunting eBay Motors, and fantasizing about exactly which Wrangler I might rustle home. One dangerous thing about an SUV like Wrangler that doesn't hold it's resale value very well -- it is a very tempting buy as a used vehicle.
