2006 Toyota Land Cruiser Test Drive & Review

Imagine me in the Kalahari desert, dressed in a khaki safari outfit with more pockets than a pool table. I've got one of those cool hats with the brim jauntily pinned up on one side. Maybe I even have an olive-colored neckerchief tied around my neck. I'm holding a big game rifle as I survey the horizon through a pair of binoculars. My foot rests on the running board of -- you guessed it, a Toyota Land Cruiser.

That's the kind of fantasy that the name "Land Cruiser" inspires in my mind, so I was thrilled to get a chance to spend a week in the 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser recently.

Perhaps I didn't get a chance to hunt any big game, or even photograph any -- but I did come away very impressed with the latest edition of Toyota's classic SUV.
