2006 Mercury Mariner Hybrid Test Drive & Review
I just spent a week in a Highlander Hybrid -- don't worry, I'll write a review soon. When Aaron Gold, About's Guide to Cars, reviewed the 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid for About Trucks, he got between 25 and 30 mpg from the vehicle. I only managed to squeeze out a little over 20 mpg during my week in the Highlander. Neither of our results is in any way scientific -- my results are certainly the by-product of driving like I'm being chased by demons, and enjoying the heck out of the extra torque and horsepower that the electric motor adds to the party. Now Aaron turns up with a review of the 2006 Mercury Mariner Hybrid, and he averaged 28.2 mpg during his week in the vehicle. He raves about its economy, utility and drivability -- usually when Aaron raves about SUVs, he's ranting along with the raving. This time, all raves for the 2006 Mercury Mariner Hybrid, and a bunch of stars in the rating.
Read Aaron's review of the 2006 Mercury Mariner Hybrid, and hopefully tomorrow you can see a photo gallery as well -- that is, if I can tear myself out of the 2007 Chevy Avalanche that I'm test driving. Yee ha!
