2006 Nissan Armada Test Drive & Review

Just when you thought SUVs were getting smaller, along comes a giant behemoth that blows away your preconceived notions.

The 2006 Nissan Armada is huge. I took my friend Doselle out for a ride. When we get together, we put most compact vehicles to the test -- we're both big guys. Doselle drives a Scion xB, and he loves nothing more than emerging from it like a butterfly shedding its cocoon, much to the delight of anyone who sees him. He had the opposite feeling in the Armada -- he thought it would be the perfect SUV for a college football coach. "You could take the whole offensive line out to dinner in this thing."
